How would you like to be part of a team that cares for each other as much as our patients? Here at Mood Treatment Center, we believe that mental health care is most effective when we support not only our patients but each other.
We’re excited to offer a flexible Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) opportunity at our Winston Salem clinic. Enjoy a hybrid schedule with at least one remote day each week - no evenings or weekends.
You will enjoy a performance-based salary with a competitive minimum monthly guarantee (during your build up period) designed to maximize your income as you help our clinic grow. Plus, you’ll only work a total of approximately 11 months out of the year, giving you more time to enjoy life’s moments.
You will also receive comprehensive health benefits, 401K with matching contributions, and professional development opportunities, including access to industry-leading doctors for ongoing learning and growth as well as a strong Interventional Psychiatry program.
What You’ll Do:- You’ll evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients dealing with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. This includes conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and developing personalized treatment plans.
- You’ll interview patients, review their medical history and medications, and perform any necessary diagnostic tests to gather all relevant information.
- You’ll make preliminary diagnoses, provide treatment, and refer patients to specialized care when needed.
- Managing medications will be a key part of your role. You’ll evaluate how well treatments are working and adjust them as necessary, using outcomes data and your clinical expertise.
- Providing mental health education to both patients and healthcare staff will help promote understanding and awareness.
- Timely follow-ups will be essential in ensuring our patients receive the best care possible.
- You’ll keep up with the latest developments in your field through reading, attending conferences, and networking with professionals.
- You’ll write and maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
- You’ll provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- You’ll collaborate with our dedicated team to deliver the highest quality care.
- You should be proficient in EMR documentation and possess excellent communication skills. Being empathetic, calm under pressure, and having strong reasoning abilities are essential.
- A solid understanding of psychiatric medications and treatment protocols will help you excel in this role.
- 1-3+ years of experience is preferred but new graduates will be considered.
- You must hold a valid DEA license.
This is a rare opening as our team members seldom leave, so don’t miss your chance to be part of something uniquely special.
