Base Pay Range

$49.00/hr – $49.00/hr

The Adult Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to adult patients with general medical and surgical conditions on an Adult Medical Surgical Unit. The RN assesses, implements, evaluates patient response, initiates nursing care, and provides health teaching and counseling according to the nurse practice act and under the supervision of the appropriate client representative.

Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.

Current and unrestricted RN nursing license in the state of practice.

One year of experience as an RN in an Adult Medical Surgical Unit within the last three years.

Current CPR at least to the BLS level; other health and screening tests as required.

• Comply with ATC policies and client facility nursing policies.
• Conduct individualized patient assessments and ongoing assessments based on protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Perform and document treatments and therapies ordered by physicians.
• Provide patient and family teaching associated with care.
• Initiate emergency measures per resuscitation protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
• Deliver care in a non‑judgmental, non‑discriminatory manner.
• Advocate patient rights related to advance directives and organ donation.
• Communicate patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift.
• Pursue continuing education to maintain competency; meet state requirements.
• Adhere to ethical conduct and professional standards of nursing practice.
• Demonstrate effective delegation skills.

Client facility settings; exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and potentially infectious materials.
