Registered Nurse Preop​/PACU Ambulatory Surgery Center

What We Offer

• Schedule: Full‑time (40 hours), Pre‑op schedule is 0615‑1445, PACU schedule is 0730‑1600. Rotating between the two areas so hours will vary depending on assignment for the day (preop vs PACU). Schedule will be known in advance. M‑F, no weekends, no major holidays & no call! Occasional late coverage days assigned.
• Department: Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), preop/PACU opening.
• Location: Hawthorne Surgical Center, 1999 South Hawthorne Road, Winston Salem
• Unit Info: Some of the common procedures consist of Opthalmology, Pain & Podiatry. Will be cross trained to preop, phase I and phase II recovery.
• Requirements: This position requires either preop/PACU, ICU, ED or critical care experience.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi‑State/Compact required.
• One‑year relevant experience, preferred.

The Registered Nurse ASC is expected to work in a primary nursing area for the center. The Registered Nurse ASC is able to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross‑training to other primary areas including but not limited to assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day‑to‑day ASC operations. He/she is also responsible for the coordination of the telephone pre‑admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment
