Family Nurse Practitioner

Exciting Full‑Time Family Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Winston‑Salem, NC! Kids Street Urgent Care is growing, and we are looking to hire a fast, fun, and friendly Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team full time. You will provide patient‑focused care to help our patients feel better FAST!

Kids Street provides urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal applicant will be able to lead a small team while working in a high‑volume and fast‑paced urgent care environment.

This is an incredible opportunity for early‑career FNPs, including brand‑new graduates. Following our on‑site hosted HQ orientation and training you will have several training shifts with existing providers in one of our clinics. From a complimentary pediatric urgent‑care course to a provider on‑call to help with clinical decision‑making, we invest in your career success.

Utilize your full scope of practice! You are a provider who can handle anything – and due to the nature of urgent care, anything may walk through the door. We see the whole family: babies, kids, adults, and geriatric patients alike. Few other positions allow you to exercise the full scope of care your program and RN experience prepared you to practice.

Be the leader on your team! Gone are the days of relying on a doctor to sign off on every little thing. You are the medical provider in the clinic and able to treat your patients. Treatment protocols guide your decision‑making, and your medical assistants support you while you lead and inspire them.

Support families in our communities! We care for kids of any age and accept Medicaid, providing a safety net for parents. We are open 362 days a year to prevent costly ER visits.

• Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
• Minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
• Suturing
• Splinting
• General orthopedic evaluations/management
• Review of x‑rays (to be over‑read by Radiologist)
• General dermatology
• General eye problems
• General EKG interpretations
• Emergency management skills
• General gynecology expertise
• Treating children of all ages
• Occupational medicine
• Telemedicine

Kids Street Clinic Hours (extended):

• Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Rotating schedule: every other weekend. Sample:

• Week 1:
  Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON).
• Week 2:
  Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF).

• Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required
• MSN or higher education required (new graduates welcome)
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (cost covered)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
