Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Suite

Position:
Registered Nurse, Endoscopy team - intraoperative nursing during endoscopic procedures

Location:

Forsyth Medical Center

Schedule:

7 am-5 pm, 4 days per week. Required to work every 3rd Saturday. Rotating weeknight and weekend call required.

• Provide intraoperative nursing care during endoscopic procedures (e.g., EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy, advanced endoscopy)
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies according to policy and procedure
• Assist physicians during procedures, including specimen handling and documentation
• Monitor patient status throughout the procedure, identifying and responding to changes promptly
• Support Anesthesia team
• Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and reprocessing of endoscopic equipment
• Accurately document intraoperative care in the electronic medical records

• Education:
  
  4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
  
  In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:
  
  One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
