Post surgical cases range from transplants to solid tumors and surgical oncology overflow. This post-op patient population consists of ENT, urology, and thoracic surgeries.

    Full-Time-36hrs weekly, 3 (12hr) shifts, Nights: 6:30pm-7am
  • Location: Winston-Salem Campus, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Winston-Salem, NC

What You ll Need
  • Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire per unit guidelines.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire per unit guidelines.
How You ll Impact Patient Care

Energizing healthcare at its core, we deliver nursing care through a dynamic process – assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. Lead a dedicated team in a diverse group of healthcare professionals, weaving age-appropriate and developmentally sensitive care that meets high nursing standards.

Essential Functions
  • Provide patient/family centered care using the nursing process and addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment with patient privacy and professional behavior.
  • Utilize and promote technology and equipment to enhance patient and staff safety.
  • Communicate effectively to promote sharing of information across the continuum of care and with the healthcare team.
  • Function in a professional practice model, including shared governance, adherence to standards of care, peer review and professional development.
  • Perform and maintain competency for point-of-care testing as assigned, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Advocate for the patient throughout the continuum of care, including community settings.
  • Coordinate delivery of patient care services using care management principles to identify priorities and improve outcomes.
  • Engage in professional growth and accountability within a professional practice model.
