Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of circulating experience and a current NC or compact RN license.

• Work in a hospital Operating Room environment
• Provides perioperative care primarily for women ages 12 and older
• Typical patient diagnoses include gynecologic cases with no oncology
• Supports GYN procedures, including therapeutic abortions and robotic hysterectomies
• Uses specialized equipment such as Da Vinci (preferred), Nova Sure, and Myo Sure
• EMR systems used:
  Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Monday through Friday day shift, 8-hour shifts from 08:30 to 17:00
• Call is generally required once per week from 5:00pm to 7:00am, with potential for weekend and holiday call
• May float to other surgical services areas as needed
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 13 week contract minimum; local candidates accepted
• Primary duties include circulating in the OR for GYN surgical procedures
• Scrubs are provided
• No RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed after booking, and additional call-offs may result in contract cancellation
• Holiday coverage and participation in call rotations are expected

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience
• Experience circulating in the OR required; robotics experience preferred
• Current BCLS certification required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
