• Location: Winston-Salem, NC 27157 – Explore North Carolina healthcare jobs in a city known for its arts, history, and scenic parks.
• Facility: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Trauma, Chest Pain & Stroke Center
• Unit: 9 Reynolds Tower (Med/Surg/Telemetry), 25 beds, average census 21 patients/day
• Assignment Start Date: August 25, 2025
• Assignment End Date: November 22, 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM start), 36 hours/week guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1470–$1570/week
• Employment Type: Travel RN

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Proficient in wound care, chest tubes, tracheostomies, surgical drains, PCA, NGT, and cardiac drips
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Provide high-quality patient care to diverse populations including multi-trauma, TBI, post-surgical, and telemetry patients
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5-6 (acuity dependent)
• Perform wound care, manage chest tubes, trachs, surgical drains, and administer medications (including ketamine and heparin drips)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, and trauma service/residents
• Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Participate in departmental orientation and ongoing professional development
• Promote a positive, teamwork-oriented nursing unit culture
