Volunteer – Medical & Grocery Transportation, Minor Home Repairs, Home Visitation & Respite Care
The Shepherd's Center of Greater Winston Salem recruits volunteers who provide medical and grocery transportation, minor home repairs, as well as home visitation and respite care through our Faith in Action Program. Our senior center provides opportunities to participate in activities, fellowship and educational programs.
Spend a few hours weekly or bi‑weekly giving a caregiver a much needed break from their role caring for a family member. Volunteer sits with care receiver to enable caregiver to have some much‑needed time for self‑care. Training and support provided. You are not expected to provide "hands on care" for an individual.
