Sewing Machine Operator II - WS
Reports to: Manufacturing Production Supervisor
Supervises: N/A
Summary Statement: The person in this position operates various automatic machines used in industrial sewing following established work and safety procedures.
Essential Job Functions- Check all safety devices, assuring they are in place and in working order prior to operating the machine.
- Prior to sewing, inspect and repair any operations incorrectly done, including unacceptable stitches on materials provided to you.
- Thread machine and change bobbin as needed based on capability.
- Operate various automatic machines which may include:
- One-Step Automatic Machines (labels, flushing, snaps, grommets, bag sealing)
- Bartack operations (with jigs)
- Serger operations (with jigs)
- Single needle operations (with jigs)
- Attend training and meetings as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as apparent or assigned.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to follow verbal instructions.
- Must have the dexterity to operate various industrial sewing machines.
- Must consistently meet production and quality standards.
- Prior experience operating automatic machines.
- Successful completion of Machine Operator I training.
