Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Winston-Salem, NC, for a Space Planning Manager. The Space Planning Manager will oversee space utilization and planning across the university, ensuring the efficient allocation of campus facilities to support academic, research, and administrative needs. Key responsibilities include researching space requirements, collaborating with departments to assess needs, developing short- and long-term space management strategies, coordinating campus space-related projects, and maintaining detailed records of facility usage.

The role requires working closely with university stakeholders to align space planning initiatives with institutional goals.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated project management, organizational, and planning abilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and research skills to evaluate space utilization and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse university stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in space planning tools and software, as well as experience in data visualization or spatial analysis.
  • Knowledge of facilities management, campus planning, and industry best practices in space utilization.
  • Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture, facilities management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience in a higher education or academic environment is an advantage.
