Automotive Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Assists Master and Senior Technicians in completing equipment maintenance and repair tasks. Performs a variety of routine repair tasks that typically do not involve diagnosing repair problems or which do not require extensive in-depth mechanical knowledge.
Completes PM services and State inspections. Completes a variety of relatively uncomplicated repair tasks such as routine brake jobs, tire changes, battery replacement, and belt and hose replacement.
Responsibilities- Replace, repair, mount, balance and perform service calls on all size automotive and equipment tires. This would range from lawnmower tires to 11R22.5 truck tires and off road equipment tires.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, good communication and logical reasoning skills.

Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED, six months work experience, some formal training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Reasonable accommodations may substitute for physical requirements listed below):
Must be able to lift or move up to 100 lbs. and maneuver up to 1 mile; must be able to crawl, climb, operate medium equipment and work with large and small objects; must possess good communications skills and functionally normal hearing. This position will work both indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to cold, heat, changing weather, adverse smells and sights, loud sounds and long periods of standing.
