At Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services, we are helping to create brighter, healthier futures for our patients and their families. We are the Piedmont Triad's only private psychiatric hospital meeting the chemical dependency illnesses and behavioral healthcare needs of those in our community. Our 164-bed inpatient services for adolescents through senior adulthood offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning.

We also offer a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. Old Vineyard is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

We are passionate about our work and are looking for individuals who share in this passion. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our talented and caring team. Our ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking skills, great communication skills with the ability to engage positively with patients, staff, families, providers, etc., Must work well under pressure with several competing priorities and maintain professionalism at all times.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient operation of hospital buildings, equipment and grounds through provision of skilled maintenance, repair and construction duties. The maintenance technician works day shift hours and is on call for hospital emergencies once per month.

• Responsible for general repairs and maintenance for facility using knowledge and skills in painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
• Perform on-going inspections of buildings and grounds for safety concerns.
• Maintain facility grounds to include parking lot cleanliness, snow preparation and removal, trimming bushes and hedges, ensuring clear walkways, etc.
• Prepare facility for special functions, including setting up tables, chairs and equipment.
• Respond in a timely manner to alarms and codes in accordance with safety and security policies and procedures.
• Repair and maintain HVAC equipment.
• Complete works orders in a timely manner, ensuring work order is closed out through The Worx Hub system.
• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections per documented schedule.
• Performs a variety of driving responsibilities including, but not limited to, picking up needed supplies at local vendor locations, delivery and pickup of needed items to/from off-site storage, delivery of equipment and supplies throughout campus, and staff transportation during inclement weather events or other hospital-determined emergencies.
• Complies with facility safety, infection control and security program.
• Participates in all required training and in-service programs for the position.
• Participates in activities which enhance professional growth and development.
• Participates in on-call rotation (once every 4-weeks)

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High School Graduate or equivalent.

Minimum three years’ experience in facility maintenance within healthcare or property management field.

Current NC Driver's License with a good driving record as verified by the NC Department of Public Safety.

• Experience driving safely in ice/snow conditions
