REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician in Winston‑Sel­am, NC. The role performs preventive maintenance and troubleshoots machinery, equipment, and facility structures to facilitate the production of the highest quality products in the safest, most efficient, and cost‑effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs planned maintenance, preventive maintenance, and overhaul duties for emergency breakdowns on operational equipment.
  • Assists in planning and implementation of maintenance initiatives for equipment and facilities.
  • Calculate the proper amount and type of materials needed to complete the job.
  • Maintain proper operation of the equipment, machinery or facility structure.
  • Be aware of the Company environmental, health & safety policies and comply with the objectives as it relates to the role.
  • Follow Company Safety Rules.
  • Know the potential health & safety risks and environmental impacts of work activities and understand role in mitigating these impacts.
  • Understand responsibilities for compliance with regulatory requirements and Company standards.
  • Complete EHS‑required training and follow operational procedures.
  • Immediately report all injuries and illnesses.
  • Participate in EHS programs as required by assigned site/role (e.g., PULSAR safety observation program, Safety Triggers).
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Prefer 3 years industrial maintenance experience.
  • Basic mathematical skills with knowledge of metric and standard tools and conversions; use of calipers and other precision measuring devices.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, proactivity and effective follow‑through.
  • Experience with tobacco packaging and processing equipment.
  • Computer navigation and experience with SAP.
  • Industrial Vehicle Operation experience.
  • Ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, and work at heights to 35 feet.
  • Applied Math Level 4, Workplace Documents Level 4, Graphic Literacy Level 4, Workplace Observation Level 2.
