Sr. Director of Digital & Ecommerce (Greensboro,NC or Raleigh, NC)

The Sr. Director of Digital & Ecommerce at Sales Factory is responsible for the strategic leadership, performance, and evolution of the agency’s digital ecosystem. This role oversees Digital Marketing & Content, Paid Marketing, and Ecommerce, ensuring all digital efforts work together to drive brand discoverability, engagement, and measurable business growth. This role manages teams that bring web experiences to life, tell brand stories through organic and user-generated content, generate awareness and capture high-intent audiences through paid media, sell products on owned and retail .com

channels, and manage the strategy & execution of retail media budgets.

This leader guides how brands present themselves, connect with audiences, and convert across owned, paid, and retail digital environments. The Sr. Director of Digital & Ecommerce works closely with Marketing Strategy, Creative, Research, and Business Development to translate insight into integrated digital strategies that perform.

This is a leadership role requiring strong digital fluency, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead leaders. This position is a combination of technical and leadership roles, requiring diverse experience in the digital marketing industry and in-depth knowledge of .com retail channels (Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowe’s). The Sr. Director of Digital & Ecommerce manages the Digital Marketing & Content, Paid Marketing, and Ecommerce teams and reports to the SVP, Insights & Activation.

Team Schedule

In general, Sales Factory working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. At the Sales Factory, overall, we operate in a hybrid work environment where the majority of the team reports to the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays and works remotely Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
This position will report to either our Greensboro or Raleigh office, depending on the employee’s location, in alignment with our hybrid schedule.

At Sales Factory, an effective Sr. Director of Digital & Ecommerce is expected to:
  • Lead the Digital Marketing & Content, Paid Marketing, and Ecommerce verticals, coaching and developing high-performing teams and people leaders
  • Translate business and client objectives into clear, actionable digital strategies and frameworks that guide execution across teams
  • Ensure digital efforts across paid, owned, and retail channels are integrated, consistent, and performance-driven
  • Partner closely with Insights & Analytics to interpret research, analytics, and performance data into practical digital direction and recommendations
  • Oversee digital performance against key business KPIs (internal and external), including growth, efficiency, and margin
  • Guide platform strategy and best practices across websites, content, paid media, and retail environments
  • Ensure digital activations meet industry best practices, including privacy, accessibility, and compliance standards
  • Identify opportunities and risks across digital and retail environments using market signals, competitive intelligence, and client objectives
  • Collaborate with operations and business development to support accurate scoping, feasibility, and sustainable growth
