Overview

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position providing 1:1 high‑quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Implement individualized treatment plans, collect data, and maintain a supportive learning environment.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure safety of learners following agency procedures on least restrictive environment.
  • Implement individualized learner treatment and behavior intervention plans with fidelity.
  • Accurately collect and record data on learner progress via EMR software.
  • Conduct group sessions with up to eight learners while maintaining clinical integrity.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to supervising BCBA; participate in team meetings.
  • Promote learner morale and dignity through assent‑based practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and professional development.
  • Implement toilet training protocols and daily programs.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing program materials.
  • Adhere to internal and funder requirements for treatment, billing, and documentation.
  • Follow BACB RBT Ethics Code and maintain RBT certification.
  • Receive and record supervision for a minimum of 5% of direct service hours each month.
  • If pursuing national certification, engage in additional fieldwork opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred:
    Degree in Behavioral Science or related field.
  • Prior experience with individuals with ASD or developmental disabilities.
  • Actively seeking or holding a Registered Behavior Technician certification (BACB).
  • Minimum one year of ABA professional experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency in a second language (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Understanding of characteristics and treatment approaches for ASD and other developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of ABA techniques and principles.
  • Data collection and record‑keeping proficiency.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Ability to work learner‑focused in fast‑paced center environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability to changing learner needs.
  • Organizational skills and time management.
  • Observational skills for monitoring progress.
Physical Demands
  • Observe and move with children in various settings.
  • Perform gross motor activities: climbing, bending, squatting, running, carrying up to 15 lbs.
  • Perform fine motor tasks: pincer grasp, writing, scissors, twisting, grasping objects.
  • Lift children up to 50 lbs.
  • Use non‑violent crisis intervention techniques.
  • Assist with toileting skills.
  • Use a tablet or mobile device for session notes.
Work Environment
