Overview
Occupational/Industrial Athletic Trainer - The Occupational/Industrial Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing "Occupational Injury Prevention and Wellness Services" to clients, employees, and other patients under a supervising physician and in direct contact with Novant Health Employer Solutions/Occupational Medicine leadership and providers.
Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Schedule: Part-Time, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, Flexible schedule
Department: Corporate Health
What You’ll DoIt is the responsibility of every Novant Health team member to deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time.
- Provide appropriate preventative and post-injury treatment
- Instruct individuals on injury prevention techniques, job hazard analysis, ergonomic assessments, first aid and injury care
- Demonstrate ability to perform the following functions regarding injuries: prevention, assessment, treatment (including first aid) and reconditioning
- The Occupational/Industrial Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing "Occupational Injury Prevention and Wellness Services" to clients, employees, and other patients under a supervising physician and in direct contact with Novant Health Employer Solutions/Occupational Medicine leadership and providers
- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years collegiate or professional experience, recommended but not required.
- Licensure/Certification: Current AT Licensure in appropriate state, required. Current BOC Certification, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
- Additional Skills (preferred): Hold or ability to hold CSCS, PES, XPS, CES national certification(s). Ability to hold AHA BLS First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification.
