Responsibilities- Intake and processing of specimens
- Input data into Electronic Medical Records Nextech
- Log incoming slides and prepare slides for physicians
- Log pathology reports, accession and pull charts for physician review
- File slides and blocks
- Compliance with safety regulations
- Review all slides and documentation to ensure information is accurate
- Assist with maintenance of Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes
- Assist with ordering laboratory supplies and appropriately store supplies
- Assist with maintenance of current policies and procedures for all lab functions
- Assist with overall responsibility for maintenance and storage of all lab records and patient slides according to law
- Input of diagnosis codes to prepare for finalizing reports for pathologists
- Any other duties as required to ensure Qual Derm Partners' operations are successful
- At least 1-2 years experience in lab or medical office setting required
- Understanding of medical terminology preferred
- Associates Degree required
