Position Overview:

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in an urgent care setting serving both adult and pediatric patients. You will be the sole provider responsible for delivering comprehensive urgent medical services, including minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigation. With a focus on patient-centered care, you will utilize Epic EMR to document visits and ensure smooth clinical workflows.

The role requires proficiency in EPIC, excellent soft skills, and the ability to manage a diverse case load independently. Reporting to a supervising physician, you will contribute to a collaborative environment dedicated to quality and efficiency.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 12 months experience in urgent care, acute care, or emergency settings
• Board certification (BC / NCCPA for PA, Family NP Cert or equivalent for NP)
• Active BLS certification
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
• Ability to see and treat all patients independently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Capable of performing minor procedures such as I&D and lac repairs
• Must be able to work within a 65-mile radius of home residence

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience with pediatric patients (6 months and older)
• Additional procedural skills beyond core competencies
• Bilingual abilities for enhanced patient communication

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Graduate degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Family Nurse Practitioner Program
• At least 12 months of recent urgent care or acute care experience
• Prior experience with solo provider roles in urgent care settings

Other Requirements:

• Must be willing to work in Winston Salem, NC
• Availability for clinical onboarding, EMR training, and initial solo shifts
• No travel reimbursement; mileage reimbursement only
• Support staff includes center manager, medical assistants, physician supervisors, and support personnel
• Support within a 65-mile radius of your residence
