Position Overview
Occupational Therapist – Acute Care at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.
Department: 37501 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Acute Care Rehabilitation.
Full‑time position; 40 hours per week.
Work schedule:
Monday‑Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; weekend rotation schedule. Benefits eligible:

Pay range: $37.50 – $56.25 per hour.

- Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of North Carolina with current licensure.
- CPR Certification every two years.
- Valid NC driver’s license.
- Responsible for performance of specialized tests, such as manual muscle testing, goniometry, and teaching occupational therapy procedures to the patient, family, and other health personnel.
- Performs both individual and comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary team members. Provides written summary of diagnostic findings to be incorporated into team plan.
- Plans intervention strategies and communicates effectively with families regarding the child’s strengths and weaknesses; work may be performed in homes, agencies, preschools or clinics.
- Provides occupational therapy treatment services including neuro‑developmental and sensory motor therapy, developmental stimulation, home programming, equipment demonstration, or other treatment modality to enhance sensory motor functioning and general developmental status.
- Provides documentation of goals and objectives for therapy as well as the course and progress of interventions with the patient. Participates in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) as needed.
- Participates in chart review of clinical records for quality assurance. Attend relevant workshops and update instruments/tools to ensure most beneficial practices for population served.
- Attends scheduled staff, CDSA, or other committee meetings as needed.
- Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
