MRI Technologist- Weekends

As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high‑quality MR studies, on site and/or remotely. You will ensure effective communication with the radiologist, team members, patients, and customers in the mobile environment. When required, you will train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR technologist assistants.

• Responsible for patient safety, including pre‑screening for contraindications and aseptic injection technique; may require remote MR technologist assistant oversight.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images and operate multiple MR systems, as required.
• Demonstrate the ability to use all channels of communication to address concerns, solve problems, and manage conflict.
• Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists.
• Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators and MR technologist assistants, on site and/or remotely.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT, as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• Technologists registered in other modalities: 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT:
  No experience required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• The COVID‑19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
• Local travel may be required.

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
• 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience.

The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit. The employee will be exposed to a strong magnetic field and may be exposed to blood, body fluids, and infectious disease when interacting with patients.

The final compensation offer is determined by several factors, including internal equity, experience, education, training, specialty, location, licensing, and business needs. The listed pay range is not a guarantee of a specific wage. The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $53.29 per hour based on direct and relevant experience.
