Director of Accounts Payable

A client of Insight Global is looking for a director of accounts payable to support a major healthcare system in the Carolinas. This director will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts payable process for the entire organization, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective internal controls. This role leads a team of Accounts Payable specialists, supports process improvement initiatives, and collaborates with various departments to maintain financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Additional responsibilities include oversee month-end and year-end close for accounts payable, reporting, evaluate and implement automation and technology solutions, presents reports to senior leadership on performance, participate in audits, and more.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience working within Accounts Payable

• 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting

• 5 years of experience working in management

• Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or business

• Strong experience working with Excel- pivot tables, vlookups, xlookups, formulas, if then statements, reconciliations
- Must sit in Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Wyoming

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Infor Net Suite experience or ERP experience

• CPA

• Master's degree
