- Provide technical EHS support, information, training to production.
- Conduct periodic inspections of facilities and support plant personnel to implement controls to minimize safety and health hazards, as well as appropriate selection of personal protective equipment.
- Promote EHS awareness through newsletters, accident alerts, and specific training programs.
- Coordinate Safety Champions program by attending meetings, reviewing inspection reports, providing member training, and proactively addressing safety concerns and suggestions.
- Audit practices and records to ensure compliance with company programs and applicable EHS regulations.
- Conduct investigations of near‑misses, first‑aid cases, and recordable cases and maintain appropriate records and accident logs.
- Coordinate exposure monitoring as needed.
- Maintain required EHS data, documents, and files.
- Can you describe your experience in designing and implementing safety programs, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial environment?
- How would you approach coordinating safety activities for a large group of production associates, ensuring everyone completes their assigned safety tasks?
- Proven experience (3+ years) in deploying and managing health and safety programs within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Experience in leading safety training programs, engaging employees, and ensuring that safety protocols are properly understood and followed by staff at all levels.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization, including frontline workers and senior management, to promote safety awareness.
- Strong ability to conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits to evaluate and address safety issues.
- Excellent organizational skills for scheduling and coordinating safety activities and tracking completion of tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety (EHS), occupational safety, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.
- Certification in OSHA standards is required.
