Role DescriptionPetree Elementary School is seeking dedicated, student‑centered educators to join our team as 2nd and 3rd Grade Teachers
. The ideal candidates are passionate about elementary education, committed to meeting the diverse needs of learners, and eager to collaborate within a supportive school community.
In this role, will plan and deliver engaging, standards‑aligned instruction that supports academic growth and social‑emotional development. Teachers will use data to inform instruction, differentiate learning experiences, and create inclusive classroom environments where all students feel valued and supported.
Successful candidates will collaborate closely with grade‑level teams, instructional support staff, and families to foster strong relationships and promote student success. Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver effective instruction aligned with North Carolina standards
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Use formative and summative data to guide instruction and differentiation
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and support staff
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional needs
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities to create structured and positive learning settings.
- Proficiency in curriculum planning, lesson delivery, and assessing elementary school subjects, particularly for grades 2 and 3.
- Skills in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative learning among students.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
- Familiarity with educational technology and tools is a plus.
- Valid teaching license for elementary education in North Carolina is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is required; advanced degrees are advantageous.
