Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Winston Salem, NC – 100% Onsite

Duration and hire type: Direct Hire

Overview: Sterling Engineering/Staffing is currently looking for a Staff Accountant for one of our clients in the Winston Salem, NC area. Job Description:

Responsible for preparing financial reports, analyzing financial information and other accounting duties for assigned areas of the Company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for journal entries on routine basis
• Monitor and adjust balances
• Monitor ERP transactions
• Review customer spending
• Account reconciliations for area
• Manufacturing Accounting/Cost emphasis
• Provide advanced level reporting upon request

Education and Training:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2+ years of experience in an Accounting

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ability to work independently and with teams
• Experience working in a manufacturing, accounting environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail
• Microsoft Office skills required, expert skills with spreadsheets
• Strong organizational and analytical skills required
• Work Environment – Position will require occasional visits to industrial environment, including potential for noise (85+ decibels)
• Safety – Position required to follow all safety guidelines and requirements
