Overview
Position Summary... What you'll do and responsibilities in the Vision Center include driving sales through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, assessing economic trends and community needs.
Responsibilities- Model, enforce and provide direction to Associates on proper Customer/Member service approaches to resolve needs, complaints and issues within Company guidelines and standards.
- Oversee the implementation of and participate in community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as good members of the community.
- Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, overseeing safety, operational and quality assurance reviews, developing action plans to improve performance, and guiding the execution of Company programs and strategic initiatives.
- Direct Vision Center Associates to maintain confidentiality of information, documentation and assigned records, and provide supervision and development opportunities by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition and promoting a sense of belonging.
- Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members/Customers, selecting products based on needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair and maintaining optical equipment.
- Uphold the Company Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, and suggesting resolutions; coordinate and oversee related activities and assignments with stakeholders; support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identify goals and objectives and promote continuous learning.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates by hiring and training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace; ensure compliance with policies and support the company mission, values and ethics by implementing action plans and guiding on applying these in business processes.

- Minimum Qualifications: Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
