We are looking for experienced heavy machinery operators to join our client, a leading underground mining operation in Winsford. The role involves operating large-scale equipment such as continuous miners and CAT 988 loaders within a specialist underground environment. Full training will be provided for candidates with relevant heavy plant experience who are keen to develop their skills in mining. You will work closely with the Shift Manager to achieve production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.

• Operate large machinery safely and efficiently in an underground environment (training provided for specific equipment)
• Support the safe and continuous operation of production, transport, and processing activities
• Comply with all statutory and company safety requirements, including Mines Regulations
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in safety, health, and productivity
• Assist with ground control works, ventilation, and infrastructure maintenance
• Ensure product quality and optimise the processing of rock salt

We are looking for a reliable, safety‑focused operator with experience in heavy industrial environments who is keen to develop a long‑term career in underground mining. You will ideally have:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in heavy industry, quarrying, mining or tunnelling
• Proven experience operating large plant or heavy machinery
• Experience with loaders, excavators or similar equipment
• Joy Continuous Miner experience (desirable, not essential)
• Strong commitment to health, safety and compliance
• Flexibility, adaptability and a strong team‑working attitude
• A good standard of secondary education
