About the Role
The Material Handler role in Winona, MN is a challenging opportunity for an individual interested in producing a high-quality product. In this role you are primarily responsible for ensuring a quality product is shipped out to the customer. You will engage with team members from all aspects of the business and outside carriers. Professional communications between customers, carriers and inside customers are a must.
Problem solving, attention to detail, and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment are critical.
4:00 pm to 2:30 am
Pay$19.06 + shift differential
YourKey Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate physical movement of materials, parts, finished goods and information to ensure optimization of cost and service level.
- Issue and deliver correct materials to the production floor, keep track of inventory, and ship and receive material to ensure proper flow. Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment to move material to and from locations and transportation vehicles within the facility. Load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility.
- Ability to troubleshoot processes, equipment, and product. Demonstrate capabilities in material management, materials requirement planning (MRP), pull systems, flow, and implementation of LEAN concepts.
- High attention to detail, follow and attention to customer service.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
- The ability to implement solutions within a designated area of responsibility.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 20 pounds.
- Ability to use a pallet jack.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
