Fabrication Technician

Military Technical Recruiting (MTR.vet) | Full time

This position is responsible for the fabrication, repair, and modification of plastic extrusion equipment. The role requires MIG and TIG welding experience, and the candidate should be a certified welder or have significant welding experience. You will weld stainless steel, aluminum, and steel. Reading and understanding blueprints is required.

This is a Monday - Friday day shift with mandatory Saturday and/or Sunday OT every other weekend, with double-time on Sundays (usually the last two weeks of the month when production is behind).

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and make decisions within the scope of the position
• Must be able to work at various heights
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be willing to travel on an as-needed basis
• Must be capable of multi-tasking
• Must be able to work mandatory Saturday and/or Sunday OT every other weekend with double-time on Sundays (typically the last two weeks of the month when production is behind)

• Associate degree in Welding; experience may be considered in lieu of formal education (3-5 years)
• Welding experience (MIG and TIG)
• Plumbing experience
• Prior fabrication experience and ability to read drawings
