Full‑time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am – 5:00pm

Working as Full‑time Product Data Specialist – Governance, you will be responsible for supporting the development of systems and solutions that uphold best practices around Fastenal's product and supplier data governance policies. This role will collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize data workflows and drive the accuracy, consistency and completeness of Fastenal's product data.

• Using product and industry knowledge to make sound business decisions when generating product content to drive efficiencies throughout the supply chain and sales process
• Assisting with product data needs and changes with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient operations
• Representing Fastenal as a subject matter expert in product data best practices and principles, both internally and externally
• Identifying content gaps within our product categories and developing strategies to fill these gaps
• Working closely with cross‑functional teams to provide actionable insights, maintain data integrity and optimize product data collection processes
• Owning the management and analysis of product data to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness of product data across all platforms and systems
• Coordinating the development of product data governance policies and standards with key business stakeholders and helping to uphold those policies and standards

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

• Possess or are working towards a degree related to Business, Marketing or Operations OR have industry related work experience
• Prior experience with Product Information Management (PIM) systems and data management best practices
• Knowledge and familiarity with industrial products

The base pay range for this position is $42,000 – $70,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
