Accounting Support

Overview

Working as Part-time Accounting Support, you will enjoy the opportunity of performing a variety of accounting responsibilities for Fastenal's world-wide locations. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm

Hours:

10 - 28 hours/week

• Processing and participating in various corporate accounting system transactions and procedures
• Assisting with the month-end corporate accounting system close processes
• Reviewing financial and operational data
• Working to identify and implement procedural improvements to enhance efficiency
• Completing special projects and analysis
• Performing other administrative tasks

• Possess or are working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment

• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

• Prior experience using People Soft
• Previous Accounting work experience
