Transportation Planner at Bison Transport Inc.
Responsibilities- Establish resource availability through analysis of drivers, tractors, and trailers in assigned region and interpret restrictions and opportunities.
- Establish and forecast customer needs and demands. Monitor, forecast, and service corporate accounts, with a thorough understanding of client priorities, volumes, cycles, and flexibility.
- Assemble the overall strategy using relevant information, develop a plan, and communicate it effectively and timely to the Fleet Management group for execution.
- Perform general customer service functions, including communicating with customer personnel regarding load movement, monitoring loads, and strengthening relationships with key contacts.
- 1-3 years of previous transportation or logistics experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent problem‑solving abilities. - Demonstrated ability to align goals with strategic direction to achieve targeted business results. li>Strong team‑player skills with effective cross‑functional collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of company goals, work direction, and practices.
This position requires flexibility to work shifts. Candidates must be open to hours outside of typical business hours, including schedules such as 4‑on/4‑off from 06:00 to 18:00.
