Overview:
Our client in Winnipeg, MB is looking for a Full Stack Developer for a 2-month contract with the option for renewals. This role is hybrid requiring 2-3 days onsite weekly so the successful candidate(s) must be currently residing in the Winnipeg area or be willing to relocate to the area for the duration of the contract.
What you will be doing:
Our client has drafted the Affirming Indigenous Citizenship, Membership and Kinship policy and procedures to support decisions to affirm attendees citizenship, membership, and kinship through document verification. This policy aims to safeguard opportunities designated for individuals. To implement this policy a simple, confidential process for uploading documentation to support the ability to verify documentation is needed that individuals will provide to affirm claims of Indigeneity.
Currently, there is no centralized system for verifying documentation. The existing systems for managing documentation are decentralized, often manual, and lack comprehensive institutional oversight. Different processes and systems are used for different groups which increases the number of individuals handling sensitive information. Implementing a centralized and integrated system would support streamlined administrative processes, protect personal privacy, and ensure a robust verification process that safeguards opportunities for all.
A developer is required to build a custom developed solution that will streamline the submission and verification process, reducing administrative burdens, duplication of effort and minimizing errors.

Validation and testing: developer testing followed by confirmation that outputs are accurate and approved by business stakeholders
Build documentation and knowledge transition to operational support teams
What you must have:
Attributes that are highly desirable in this Full Stack Developer role are as follows:
Must have experience with React
Must have experience with Angular
Must have experience with Python
Must have experience with Node.js
Must have experience with Type Script
Experience with Ellucian Data Connect is preferred.
Experience with Ellucian APIs is preferred.
Must have experience in Agile development.
Must have experience using Gitlab for code management and deployment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Experience working in a Higher Education environment is preferred.
Prior experience in the following areas would be an additional asset for consideration:
Experience working with a solution architect.
Experience with Prince2 or Agile Project Management.
