The West Central Women’s Resource Centre (WCWRC) provides services and programming to women, gender diverse people and their families in the West Central neighbourhood of Winnipeg. Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Residential Support Services, the Manager of Residential Support Services will support and supervise front‑line staff in our new residential supportive housing program, ensuring community members who are transitioning to permanent housing receive wrap‑around supports and resources that are culturally appropriate and person‑centered. Direct reports include Case Workers, Cultural Support Workers, and Life Skills Workers.

Accountability

The Manager of Residential Support Services is responsible to and will be supervised by the Director of Residential Support Services. To ensure appropriate accounting of hours worked, completed timesheets are to be submitted bi‑weekly, by payroll date, to the Director of Residential Support Services. To enhance the staff team and to be accountable to one another, attendance at staff meetings, program meetings, and trainings is required.

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: $31‑34/hour, 6% vacation pay, plus a benefits package and matched RSP after 3 months

Time requirement: 75 hours every two weeks

Responsibilities Supervise and Support Staff
  • Act as direct supervisor for direct service staff in the residential supports department; this includes assisting with hiring, providing ongoing feedback and skill development, and performance management
  • Ensure staff are meeting all the requirements of their program and that programming reflects WCWRC philosophies
  • Support staff to resolve participant conflicts in the Centre according to our guiding values, policies and procedures
Deliver and Guide the Residential Support Program
  • Work with program staff and Director to develop and deliver residential wrap‑around supports and access to resources to folks transitioning into permanent supportive housing
  • Support the Director in providing ongoing review of program
  • Support Cultural Support Worker and Life Skills Worker to deliver programming that is relevant to communities, culturally safe, and builds on the gifts and skills of community members
  • Promote programs and ensure outreach material is current and relevant
  • Support with the development of policies and procedures for the new program, in collaboration with other WCWRC staff
Case Management
  • Work with direct service staff in supporting participants referred to the Residential Support Services Program through the Your Way Home Strategy and ensure they follow WCWRC intake procedures
