- Education:
Completion of secondary school is required - Experience:
1-2 yearsrelevantexperienceor1-2 years apprenticeship program is required
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
- Apply successive coast of compound and sand seams and joints
- Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studsor joists
- To protect exterior corners, cut and install metal corner beads
- Use trowel and broad knife to fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound
- Use tape machine to tape over joint andembed tape in compound
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets as required.
