Job requirements:

Education:

Completion of secondary school is required

Experience:

1 – 2 yearsrelevantexperienceor1-2 years apprenticeship program is required

Job duties:

• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
• Apply successive coatsof compound and sand seams and joints
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studsor joists
• To protect exterior corners, cut and install metal corner beads
• Use trowel and broad knife to fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound
• Use tape machine to tape over joint andembed tape in compound
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets as required.
