Truck and Trailer Apprentice

As the Truck and Trailer Apprentice (Level 2, 3 or
4), you will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator and the other Tractor/Trailer Technician/Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections and prescribing the correct remedial action.
- You will be a registered Apprentice with the Provincial Training Board either Level 2, 3 or 4
- Passed the Apprenticeship entry exam
- Graduation from a recognized certificate program (ex. Truck and Transport Technician, Heavy Duty Technician), and the desire to obtain your Journeyman's certificate will be key to your success in this position
- Effective time management and team focus
- May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less
- This is a permanent full‑time position subject to a modified 4×10 shift, from 17:00‑3:30, 4 days a week; 10 hours a day
