Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard - Mobile Patrol in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Shift
:
Saturday to Tuesday and Friday, 1700 – 0100

Responsibilities
  • Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high‑traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
  • Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
  • Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
  • Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
  • Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
  • Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulations
Qualifications (Must Have)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid class 5F, Manitoba Driver's License
  • Must be able to provide Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada for at least 40 hours per week
  • Must be at least 25 years old.
  • Valid provincial Security Guard License
  • Prior experience in security operations, preferably in a mobile patrol or similar role
  • Strong observation skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using security equipment and technology, including surveillance systems, radios, and mobile devices
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations
  • Skilled in de‑escalation techniques
  • Proficiency in security procedures, protocols, and emergency response techniques
