GENERAL

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Customer Services Coordinator will play a key role in supporting our sales team, working with client accounts and providing continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance automation. This position is ideal for someone starting their career with a passion for building customer relationships and a strong interest in the manufacturing industry. You will assist in identifying new sales opportunities, handling customer inquiries, and supporting the end‑to‑end sales process while gaining valuable experience to develop your career in sales and account management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Follow through the entire sales process to support Account Managers, Sales Representatives, or customers assigned directly to you (this includes, but is not limited to, tasks such as opening opportunities, estimate requests, item numbers, charter information & dispatches, tracking shipments, working/ coordinating with partner plants, following up on invoices).
  • Assist in maintaining positive relationships with existing clients through regular communication and exceptional service.
  • Use of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Salesforce, to document and update as required, as well as open charters and timeline reservations.
  • Work with the Sales Team on updating databases where required.
  • Update the sales pipeline to assist in meeting team targets.
  • Support in identifying client needs and suggesting appropriate solutions, including marketing campaigns, data analysis and lead generation strategies.
  • Prepare and/or assist with proposals and sales presentations.
  • Participate in team meetings (within the company), updating accordingly on account activities, status and follow‑up.
  • Participate in sales training, professional development activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and product knowledge to better serve clients.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑oriented approach.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively while working independently or with teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce), and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in a fast‑paced environment.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND

EXPERIENCE:
  • Post‑secondary qualification in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1‑2 years of experience in a sales or account management role, preferably within manufacturing or B2B.
