The Opportunity:

Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Grocery Clerk at our Grant Park Food Store, located at 1120 Grant Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba.This position reports to the Grocery Manager. The Grocery Clerk adds value to our Co-operative by providing world‑class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficient.

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:

Maintain sections of merchandise (non‑perishable food, dairy, frozen food, general merchandise, health and beauty, bulk food) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure first‑in, first‑out rotation is followed at all times, and that close‑dated product is reported to the Grocery Manager.

Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature‑controlled environment.

Ensure the Grocery Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.

Assist in building mass and bunk end displays as required.

Present a neat, clean, fresh, well‑merchandised department and related work areas (sales floor, end caps, coolers, freezers, receiving area, warehouse, etc.)

About You:

Previous experience in a retail grocery department is preferred but not required.

Available to work 30 to 37 hours per week.

Open availability and willing to work different shifts including evenings and weekends.
