Landscaping, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
What You’ll Do:
You will get to help people enjoy all that Winkler’s recreation areas have to offer by keeping them safe, clean, welcoming, and running smoothly.
You’ll get to do a wide variety of mostly outdoor tasks. Some of your daily activities could include mowing, trimming, weeding, garbage removal, tending to the campground, doing work at the Discovery Nature Sanctuary, and Aquatic Centre cleaning.

- You’ll be able to work effectively and harmoniously with your team and be eager to contribute to the work of the recreation department.
- You’ll be able to interact positively with the public at all times.
- An eye to see when a job is done fully and a drive to do quality work.
- You’ll be willing to learn and grow in your role!
- Experience with yard work, landscaping, small equipment and hand tools operation are considered assets.
- Horticultural knowledge or experience, including the planting and care of annual flowers, garden beds, and potted plants, is considered a major asset.
- Ability to do physical work outside in various weather conditions.
- A Manitoba Driver’s License is considered a major asset.
May through August 2026.
Compensation:$16.50 - $18.50, depending on years of service.
