At International SOS, we are in the business of protecting and saving lives. For 40 years, we have delivered customised security risk management, health, and wellbeing solutions to organisations worldwide. With a presence in 90 countries and a team of nearly 13,000 experts, we provide 24/7 support to help organisations fulfil their Duty of Care responsibilities.

Now, we’re looking for talented individuals to join our team and make a difference.

General Information

We are sourcing for Registered Nurses (RNs) to service remote communities within Northern Manitoba supporting Indigenous Services Canada.

We have 1 to 2-week coverage assignments available for ongoing full-time work. Positions are eligible for overtime, and a travel allowance is provided.

Community health nursing in remote Indigenous communities is an excellent opportunity for clinicians looking to make a true difference, expand their skills, grow their critical thinking abilities, and practice in a dynamic and stimulating environment.

We are happy to support candidates with the labour mobility process to obtain their Manitoba/Alberta licenses. We offer expanded role nursing training and ongoing professional development opportunities.

  • Within the scope, rely on evidence-based guidelines using the national care pathways and other provided resources to deduce diagnoses, negotiate and implement care plans, provide health teaching, and assure adequate follow-up to evaluate care effectiveness.
  • Intervene in the contexts of unstable clinical situations, effectively facilitate communication with the local and remote consulting teams, and participate in planning, organizing, and implementing medical evacuation as needed.
  • Document care according to the guidelines, including using the EMR (electronic medical records).
