Organization description:
We are a self‑help organization whose purpose is to help others help themselves through peer support, support groups, education and advocacy by empowering people to develop and manage mental wellness.

Description of Duties
Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba (MDAM) is a not‑for‑profit organization dedicated to providing support, education, and advocacy for those living with mental health illnesses through peer support and other services. MDAM operates throughout Manitoba, supporting individuals, their friends, families, and caregivers affected by mood disorders. One of the services we offer are peer support groups that are facilitated by dedicated volunteers who have lived experience with mood disorders or co‑occurring disorders.

A facilitator plans, guides, and manages an in‑person peer support group for MDAM.

The Depression & Anxiety in‑person peer support group is held every Thursday from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
