Folklorama is a non‑profit organization that organizes entertaining and educational events, workshops, and programming 365 days a year. Its mission is to bring people together by sharing ethno‑cultural experiences and education. The largest and longest‑running multicultural festival of its kind in the world, Folklorama takes place in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Time Commitment: Evening, Weekend
ResponsibilitiesAs a Tour Registration Volunteer you will be the first point of contact for VIP tour guests. You will:
- Welcome guests as they arrive for their VIP Tour.
- Register guests and provide directions to the proper motor coach.
- Maintain crowd control as large numbers of guests arrive.
- Set up and take down the registration table and flags.
- Answer general questions about Folklorama from tour guests and the general public.
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups.
- Excellent communication.
- Ability to work as a team with bus drivers and pavilion staff.
- Participate in collaborative problem solving.
- Experience using Better Impact and Dropbox is an asset.
- Access to a cell phone is preferred.
- Be punctual, enthusiastic, attentive, patient, and helpful.
- Background check requirements are at the pavilion’s discretion (for pavilion positions).
- Connect with the local community in a meaningful way.
- Meet people with shared interests and expand your social network.
- Learn new skills and gain valuable work experience.
- Contribute to the celebration and sharing of ethno‑cultural traditions and heritage.

Background Checks: No criminal record check required; no child abuse registry check required.
Opportunity is available to small and large groups, school credits, and those needing support or childcare. French & bilingual (French and English) are preferred; other languages welcomed.
