Friendly Visitor Volunteers are assigned to clients in our Older Adult Services Program who seek companionship. This role allows volunteers to relate with clients in a friendly way and establish meaningful connections. Volunteers can meet clients in their homes or plan outings such as visiting a coffee shop. JCFS may reimburse volunteers depending on the outing location. Outings must be approved by JCFS staff and the client, but ideas are welcomed!

Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment:
Daytime, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours
Volunteers commit to a 6-month schedule, weekly or bi-weekly shifts for consistency.

Open to candidates fulfilling volunteer hours for school credit and speaking languages such as Hebrew, Russian, Yiddish, or Spanish.
Organization Support:- Reference letter, certificate of recognition, supervision, training, and orientation.
