Community Event & Outreach Volunteers

Organizational Description

Kid Sport is a national charity which provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport. Kid Sport Manitoba's goal is to remove these barriers and help get kids off the sidelines to ensure that ALL kids can play! Kid Sport Manitoba is administered by Sport Manitoba.

We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable volunteers to support our community outreach and fundraising efforts throughout the year. Volunteers represent Kid Sport at local events, assist with event logistics, and help raise awareness and funds to support access to sport for Manitoba children. Scheduling is flexible, with many opportunities available during evenings and weekends, particularly throughout the summer months.

• Representing Kid Sport at community events and information booths
• Assisting with fundraising initiatives, including golf tournaments and community events
• Running activity stations at community festivals and events
• Providing general event support (registration desk, directing participants, raffle ticket sales, etc.)
• Supporting general office organization
• Assisting with event set‑up/tear‑down

• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with the public
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passionate about sport and/or community involvement
• Reliable and able to commit to a minimum of 4 hours per month

• Meaningful community impact
• Experience in event coordination and nonprofit fundraising
• Opportunities to build leadership and communication skills

Age: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-17, 18-30, 31-54, 55+
