SummaryWCAA volunteers act as Visitation Monitors to supervise and document visits between parents and children, while intervening when necessary.
DescriptionWhat you’ll be doing:
You will supervise and document family visits to ensure families can have a safe, neutral, child‑focused visit together. After each visit, you will write a summary of the visit. Volunteers must adhere to WCAA policies and procedures, including record‑keeping requirements, confidentiality of agency and client information, and ethics.
- Willing to undergo a background or police records check
- 18 years or older
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written in English (other languages are an asset)
- Strong typing skills
- Must be able to remain objective and factual during visits and while writing notes
- Flexible availability
