Job Summary
If you’re interested in Entry Level Greenhouse Technician role, then this is the perfect job for you. You’ll participate in projects seeded in growth room facilities: filling pots, seeding, maintenance of canola plants, harvesting, and threshing. Maintenance and organization of growth rooms. Other duties as assigned. Following our safety rules and Standard Operating Procedures-edit SOPs, general computer work.
Job Description
Filling pots and flats, washing pots, stakes, cleaning hallways and facility, and other tasks as needed.Organizing and cleaning warehouse and maintenanceAssist with daily activities which may include harvesting, threshing of plants and cleaning and organization of materials and facilities.Tissue sampling, growth room organization, watering plantsWashing lab coats and Inventory tasksNotify Operational supervisor(s) when issues arise with facility.Comply with Bayer Safety standards and participate in required/designated safety programs.Skills Required
Basic plant care knowledge (watering, pruning, fertilizing)Ability to monitor plant health and identify issuesAttention to detail and ability to follow instructionsPhysical stamina and ability to lift/move materialsUnderstanding of basic greenhouse safety and sanitation practicesAdditional Requirements
Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check.Worker Shift Start Time: AM - 07:30 AMPay Rate/Salary
