Job Description
The Process Operator supports operational excellence in the Injection Molding department by ensuring equipment efficiency, product quality, and safety to achieve OEE targets and uphold Fiji Water’s standards
Operate and maintain Injection Molding equipment, including Husky Preform and Closure machines and forklifts, in accordance with standard work instructions and manufacturer guidelines to ensure optimal performance and product quality.Demonstrate adaptability by operating various equipment as required, supporting seamless production across the Injection Molding department.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational and equipment issues, performing basic maintenance and adjustments to minimize downtime.Escalate complex technical issues beyond basic repairs to Shift Technicians or Reliability Technicians for prompt resolution.Support Fiji Water’s quality, safety, and environmental initiatives by adhering to standard work processes, SKU requirements, and regulatory standards.Actively participate in group learning sessions, propose efficiency improvements, and engage in problem-solving to enhance operational performance.Complete assigned administrative tasks, including operational documentation and daily reporting, to ensure accurate data tracking and compliance.Conducting Autonomous Maintenance Check (AM) and ensuring daily management system are practiced like center lining, clean inspect lube and defect handling.Performing quality inspection checks to ensure optimal quality product produced.Ensure materials are consumed JIT (just in Time) method using the scan guns.Support organizational quality compliance and environmental initiatives across the siteQualifications
Qualifications
Minimum:
Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent secondary education.3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production role, preferably in bottling, injection molding, or a related field.Valid Group 9 driver’s license.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Preferred:
Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.Experience in operating and maintaining injection molding equipment, such as Husky Preform and Closure machines, in a high-volume bottling environment like Fiji Water.Knowledge of Lean problem-solving tools or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and contribute to process improvements.Additional Information
