We are seeking a motivated Group Leader to join our manufacturing production team on the evening shift
. In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership within a manufacturing department while helping drive the goals outlined in our strategic plan. This position is ideal for someone with proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment who is passionate about safety, quality, and team development.
This is a full-time, permanent position on the evening shift.

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 pm - 3:00 am (Evening shift receives a 12.5% premium)

What You’ll Do

As a Group Leader, you will guide your team to deliver strong operational performance while fostering a positive, collaborative workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to team members, ensuring clear expectations, accountability, and alignment with departmental goals.

Coach, mentor, and support employees to develop their skills, improve performance, and grow within their roles.

Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment that promotes engagement, trust, and open communication.

Conduct performance management activities, including goal setting, feedback, recognition, and addressing performance concerns when needed

Provide product and process training, including cross-training employees across multiple roles

Develop, communicate, and execute daily and weekly work plans/production schedules

Contribute to the development of business unit operating plans

Act as a liaison between team members and support departments such as HR, Payroll, Engineering, and Maintenance

Drive performance in safety, quality, and on-time delivery

Collaborate with other Group Leaders to achieve company goals and targets

Apply Lean principles to support continuous improvement initiatives

Maintain departmental performance metrics

Ensure all products meet established quality standards

What you bring:

3–5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Strong leadership abilities with experience in mentoring, coaching, and building high-performing teams

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead change and build strong working relationships

High level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence

Ability to interpret technical drawings and shop documentation such as work orders

Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Flexibility to work overtime when required to support business needs

Yellow Belt Certification and Lean 101 Training as assets
